Home quick then off to MAUI!

Yet another short and hectic stay at home. I use hectic loosely because let's face it, I put off packing and getting what I need to get done until the last possible moment. The rest of the stay is usually nice and relaxing! Mom, Drew and I went to see The Rum Diary (very enjoyable with some great lines) and then went out to Symenon's after for some phenom-nomenal eats.
That night Drew and I met up with Carl and we went out to Varick Street to some bars... no wonder drew doesn't go out very often. Upstate NY is great to come back for short periods but boy... not too many people to meet. Last night Drew and I had Momma's Boy Dinner with our moms which was really nice. Always great to spend some quality time with the rents (Dad is off on a golf outing down in Alabama).

I forgot to post about climbing Mt. Washington with Courtney a few weeks back and so I'll just say that we caught one of the nicest fall days of the season and we killed the hike. We took Tuckerman's and got up and back in record pace. Great to catch up with her... it's always nice to pick up right where you left off with old friends. Definitely a comfort to have such good friends too.

Anywho, off to Maui tomorrow morning. I leave the house at no later than 4am, flight leaves at 6ish and then it's going to be a long day of traveling before touching down in Maui at 9:44pm!! WOOOOOO! Off to Dakine!! (dakine is the word they use all of da time! It means pretty much anything and everything... i.e. the surf "how was dakine today?" or food "this dinner is dakine!")
