Here's the latest folks!
My composite team has been called on Disaster Relief! We are leaving Haysi, VA tomorrow for Cleveland, TN to help in the recovery from the tornadoes. I think this is a good thing because it will help me stay motivated to the very end of my AmeriCorps stint. This has been quite the learning opportunity the past 10 months and now coming into the last few weeks it seems crazy it has been that long.
In other news, I got hired as a lifeguard for the Cape Cod National Seashore!! This has been practically a dream job for my sisters and I since we were young and now I'm actually getting to do it!! So excited!!!
Lets see what else...
I think that just about sums it up. We had a great last weekend here. We biked the Virginia Creeper Trail Saturday and then Matt and I ran and hiked in the Breaks Interstate Park on Sunday! Been a great couple of weeks in Haysi!
Few weeks left then it's back up north!
Looking forward to the road trip back with my mom and then seeing friends!!!
